Egen avl fra nyttehaven

Sensommeren er normalt agurketid, men hidtil har vores agurker ikke været noget at skrive hjem om, så derfor kaster vi os over tomaterne.

Mandag høstede vi årets hidtil største tomat. Den var knytnævestor og var vokset ud af sit gode skind. God og saftig, men også sprukken.

Det har vi set en del til i denne sommer. Den megen sol og varme har givet tomaterne et tykt, beskyttende skind - og nu, hvor vejret er blevet mere tempereret, er det svært for den saftige frugt at holde sig inden for rammerne.

Men pyt. Hjemmeavlede tomater smager meget bedre end købetomaterne.
